Damascus، SANA – Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed al-Saleh and Chargé d’Affaires of the Algerian Embassy in Damascus Nasser Alam discussed today ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in disaster response.
They reviewed previous agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two sides to suit the current situation.
During a meeting, the two sides agreed to enhance joint work during the next phase and to work on sending Syrian trainees to Algeria to enhance their capabilities, in addition to coordinating between the Syrian Seismic Monitoring Institute and its Algerian counterpart in the fields of monitoring and early warning.
