Kuwait welcomes ceasefire in Sweida, condemns Israeli aggression

Kuwait, SANA – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the announcement by the government of the Syrian Arab Republic of a ceasefire in the southern city of Sweida, stressed the de-escalate the situation and take all measures that would save the blood of the brotherly Syrian people.

In a statement published on its official account on the (X) platform, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized “Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Israeli aggression on the Syrian territory, which represents a continuation of a series of violations of international law and the Charter of the United Nations”.

“At a time when the State of Kuwait calls on the international community and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities to deter and put an end to these violations in order to preserve the security of the region, it affirms its support for the brothers in the Syrian Arab Republic to preserve its security and stability” the Ministry added.
