Syria and UNICEF discuss ways of enhancing water resources management cooperation

Damascus, SANA – Syrian Minister of Energy Engineer Mohammad Al-Bashir discussed on Monday with UNICEF delegation headed by the organization’s representative in Syria Meritxell Relaño ways of enhancing international cooperation in water resources management.

During the meeting, they discussed mechanisms of mutual cooperation in the fields of community awareness, rationalizing consumption, and improving resource management in light of the increasing challenges facing the water sector in Syria as a result of climate change, lack of funding, and damage resulting from the war.
