Barrack: Door opened for investment in Syria

Damascus, SANA-The U.S. special envoy to Syria, Thomas Barrack, confirmed on Thursday that the path for investment in Syria is open and that billions of dollars of international investments have been launched in this country.

“that this step came only a week after US President Donald Trump announced his decision to lift the sanctions imposed on Syria” Barrack posted on X platform.

He added: The $7 billion energy agreement, which was signed Thursday between Damascus, the United States, Turkey and Qatar, is the first major example of opening a new path for partnerships and regional cooperation.

“Syria is now open to the business world”, Barrack noted adding “It’s time for trade not chaos”.
