UAE: Lifting sanctions on Syria is an important step toward promoting growth and prosperity

Abu Dhabi, SANA-Today, the UAE welcomed US President Donald Trump’s announcement of lifting sanctions on Syria, considering that this step represents important support for efforts to promote growth and prosperity in the country.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its unwavering support for achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people, praising the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this regard, according to WAM news agency.

The Ministry expressed its hope that these developments will contribute to economic recovery and the commencement of the reconstruction phase, achieving development and stability for the Syrian people.

The Ministry reiterated the UAE’s support for all efforts made to realize the Syrian people’s hopes for security, development, and peaceful coexistence.
