Aboul Gheit: Lifting sanctions on Syria a step toward turning the page on the past

Cairo, SANA- Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, has welcomed the decision to lift U.S. sanctions on Syria, praising the role played by Saudi Arabia in this process.

In a post on (X), Aboul Gheit stated that “the decision represents an important positive development,” emphasizing that “this step allows Syria to turn the page on the past and embark on an economic path that serves stability and development.”
