Qatar’s Foreign Ministry welcomes U.S. President’s intent to lift Sanctions on Syria

Doha, SANA – The State of Qatar has expressed its welcome for U.S. President Donald Trump’s intention to lift sanctions on Syria.

In a statement published on Tuesday evening on its official account on (X) platform, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared, “The State of Qatar welcomes the friendly United States President’s intent to lift sanctions on the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic and considers it a step toward supporting stability in Syria.”

The ministry also expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey to lift sanctions on Syria.

Additionally, Qatar reaffirmed its full support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, as well as the aspirations of the Syrian people for security, stability, and development.
