EU: President al-Sharaa’s speech serve to match aspirations of Syrian people

Brussels / SANA- The European Union welcomed the directions of the President of Syria, Ahmad al-Sharaa, in the upcoming stage, stressing that they serve to match the aspirations of the Syrian people.

In a statement to Al-Hadath channel, EU Arabic Spokesperson for the Middle East and North Africa, said: “Al-Sharaa’s speech about the stages of political transition is important and serves the aspirations of the Syrian people,” noting that “the bloc welcomes this announcement.”

Bueno pointed out that a European diplomatic delegation discussed with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani in Damascus the political transition, security, and lifting of sanctions, indicating that the European Union is working to strengthen its presence in Damascus.

On Thursday night, President al-Sharaa addressed the Syrian people in a speech in which he stressed that the transitional stage is part of a political process that requires the real participation of all Syrian men and women inside and outside the country to build their future with freedom and dignity without exclusion or marginalization.
