Brussels to host international conference on supporting Syria next March

Brussels , SANA-Brussels will organize to host international conference in support of Syria’s recovery next March.

European diplomatic sources affirmed to Jordan’s Al Mamlaka TV that the conference will discuss reconstruction of Syria, and the support for countries hosting Syrian refugees, such as Jordan.

This conference has no relation to the 9th Brussels Conference to support Syria and its neighbors, which is scheduled to start later this year.

the diplomatic sources said that the European Union has sent Commissioner for Preparedness, Crisis Management and Equality Hadja Lahbib that met the Leader of the New Syrian Administration, with the aim of representing Damascus at the conference.

It is noteworthy that the European Union foreign ministers, headed by the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas are discussing in Brussels today developments of the situation in the Middle East, including the future of European sanctions on Syria, and the future of European support in light of the recent developments.
