Erdoğan congratulates Syria on Liberation Day, affirms support for unity and stability

Ankara, Dec.8 (SANA)Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Monday extended his congratulations to the Syrian people on the first anniversary of Liberation Day, praising the progress achieved over the past year despite ongoing challenges.

In a post on the X platform, President Erdoğan said: “On the occasion of Syria’s Freedom Day, December 8, I extend my sincerest greetings from Turkey to the brotherly Syrian people. We highly appreciate the important progress our Syrian brothers have made over the past year, despite all challenges and attempts at sabotage and provocation.”

Erdoğan reaffirmed Turkey’s continued support for efforts to safeguard the territorial integrity of Syria and strengthen internal social harmony. “We will continue providing all necessary support to protect Syria’s unity, achieve civil peace in all its components, and enable Syria to establish itself as a center of security and stability in its regional environment,” he said.

The Turkish President’s statement came as Syrians across the country marked the first anniversary of Liberation Day with large-scale celebrations and renewed hope for peace, stability, and national reconstruction.
