Syrian-Turkish agreement to advance educational sector

The Syrian Ministry of Education signed on Thursday a memorandum of understanding with the Turkish humanitarian organization “Rahma Beyond Limits” aimed at improving the quality of education, rehabilitating schools damaged by the crimes of the former regime, enhancing psychosocial support for students, and providing assistance to teachers to foster a better learning environment.

The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in Damascus, where Minister of Education Dr. Mohammad Abdulrahman Turko emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination with the organization.

He expressed gratitude for its ongoing efforts to support educational recovery in Syria, pledging full facilitation to ensure the success of joint initiatives.

Representatives from Rahma Without Borders outlined their operational framework and the services they plan to offer, including teacher training, remedial education programs for students, school reconstruction, and psychological and educational support for children affected by the war.
