Beijing, SANA-China has affirmed that Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be respected, commenting on the Israeli airstrikes on Syria.
China Daily newspaper quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian as saying Thursday “Given the ongoing turbulence in the Middle East, any action that leads to an escalation should be avoided,” stressing the necessity of respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
