Ankara, SANA- US Consulate in Istanbul announced that a delegation from the US Treasury Department is holding talks in Turkey with Turkish, Syrian, and Iraqi officials on the issue of lifting sanctions on Syria, stressing Washington’s readiness to support Damascus in combating money laundering and terrorism financing.

Anadolu Agency quoted the consulate as saying in a statement Wednesday that “the (US) delegation is headed by Anna Morris, Acting Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury for Terrorism Financing, and arrived in Ankara last Sunday.”
