U.S. Envoy: Syria’s path to recovery begins with establishing security and stability

Damascus, SANA-Thomas Barrack, U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, affirmed that Syria’s path to recovery begins with establishing the foundations of security and stability.

Barrack stated in a post on X: The future of a prosperous and peaceful Syria is in the hands of Syria and its regional partners, such as the Qatari company UCC and the Turkish groups Cengiz and Kalyon, which were awarded the contract for the construction, operation, and transportation of the new Damascus International Airport following the lifting of sanctions on Syria by U.S. President Donald Trump.

He expressed his pleasure at attending the signing ceremony of investment memoranda of understanding with several international companies at the People’s Palace in Damascus.
