Madrid, SANA-Tottenham Hotspur secured the UEFA Europa League title after defeating fellow English club Manchester United 1-0 in the final, held Wednesday at San Mamés Stadium in Spain.
Welsh forward Brennan Johnson scored the decisive goal in the 42nd minute.
This victory marks Tottenham’s first major title since winning the English League Cup in 2008 and their first European championship since 1984.
