Los Angeles, July 11 (SANA) The Spanish team has qualified for the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup after defeating Belgium 2-1 in their quarterfinal match held on Friday at the Los Angeles Stadium.
Spain took the lead with a goal from Fabián Ruiz in the 30th minute, before Charles De Ketelaere equalized for Belgium in the 41st minute.
Spain regained the lead to secure the win with a second goal from Mikel Merino in the 88th minute, ending the match with a 2-1 victory.
Spain will now face France in the semifinals, scheduled to be played on the 14th of this month at the Dallas Stadium, as the two teams vie for a spot in the World Cup final.
