Croatia beats Ghana 2-1 to finish second in World Cup Group L

Washington, June 28 (SANA) Croatia defeated Ghana 2-1 on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia to finish second in Group L and advance to the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Petar Sučić opened the scoring for Croatia in the 31st minute before Derek Lokasin equalized for Ghana in the 73rd minute. Nikola Vlašić restored Croatia’s lead with the winning goal in the 82nd minute.

Croatia finished second in the group with six points, behind England, which topped the standings with seven points. Ghana ended third with four points, while Panama was eliminated after finishing bottom of the group without a point.
