Rome Feb.22 (SANA) Inter Milan continued to lead the Italian Serie A football league with a late victory over host Lecce, winning 2-0.
Inter had to wait until the 75th minute to break the deadlock, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan opening the scoring. Defender Manuel Akanji then doubled the visitors’ advantage with a second goal.
With this win, Inter raised their tally to 64 points at the top of the table, while Lecce remained stuck on 24 points in 17th place.
