Damascus, Jan. 31 (SANA) Tishreen and Homs Al-Fida played to a 0-0 draw in the sixth round of the Syrian Premier League on Saturday at al-Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus.
Neither side was able to convert the few scoring opportunities created during the match.
Tishreen coach Mohammad al-Youssef described the game as challenging, highlighting Homs al-Fida’s talented lineup and strong bench. “Our team tried to press the ball carrier and limit defensive mistakes,” he said.
Tishreen midfielder Ahmad Shimali said the team managed the match well and secured an important point.
Elsewhere in the sixth round, Hutteen moved to the top of the league with a win over al-Wahda. Police defeated Khan Sheikhoun, al-Fotuwa beat al-Shua’la, al-Ahli Aleppo overcame al-Karama, al-Jaish won against Omayya, while Jablah and al-Hurriya, and Damascus al-Ahli and al-Talia’a both played out draws.
After the round, Homs al-Fida sits fifth with 10 points, while Tishreen is sixth with 8 points.
