Damascus, Aug. 3 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa met Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani and his accompanying delegation at the People’s Palace in Damascus on Monday, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination, particularly in the economic sector.
The two sides also discussed regional developments and issues of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of supporting security, stability and broader regional cooperation.
President Barzani is on an official visit to Syria aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation and coordination across a range of sectors.
The visit is part of ongoing engagement between the two sides to strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
