Damascus, Mar. 15 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued Decree No. 63 of 2026 establishing a public authority called the General Authority for Supply and Provision.
The establishment of the authority aims to regulate and unify contracting procedures in order to meet the needs of public bodies with the best technical specifications and most suitable prices, while ensuring transparency and improving the efficiency of government spending.
President al-Sharaa also issued Decree No. 65 of 2026 appointing Abdul-Razzaq Omar al-Masri as Director General of the General Authority for Supply and Provision.
