Damascus, Dec. 31 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued Decree No. 297 of 2025 appointing Omar Hisham al-Hosari as president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport, with the rank of minister.
According to the decree, the appointment is made pursuant to the provisions of the Constitutional Declaration and Decree No. 213 of 2025.
Article 1 of the decree stipulates the appointment of al-Hosari to head the authority with ministerial status.
Article 2 states that expenditures resulting from the implementation of the decree shall be covered by the budget of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport.
Article 3 provides that the decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and communicated to the relevant bodies for implementation.
