President al-Sharaa issues decree forming the Higher Council for Education

President al-Sharaa issues decree forming the Higher Council for Education

Damascus, SANA- President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad al-Sharaa, issued on Monday decree No. 148 for 2025 forming the Higher Council for Education and Upbringing.

The Higher Council for Education comprises President of the Republic or whomever he delegates as Chairman, and a number of ministers as members.

The decree aims to unify educational references and coordinate work among relevant ministries.

In addition, it aims to develop educational policies that keep pace with development requirements, the labor market, and digital transformation to be consistent with leading Arab and international experiences.

It adopts modern and advanced educational curricula that keep pace with scientific and technological developments and the needs of society.
