Damascus, June 1 (SANA) Syria on Monday condemned the recent Iranian aggression targeting Kuwait as a violation of the Gulf state’s sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability.
In a statement, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the attacks constituted an unacceptable infringement on Kuwait’s security and territorial integrity and warned that they could undermine ongoing efforts to reduce tensions in the region.
The ministry said the developments represented a new escalation that could jeopardize regional stability and complicate diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing further conflict.
The ministry reaffirmed Syria’s support for Kuwait’s leadership, government and people, expressing solidarity with the country in confronting any threat to its security or territorial integrity.
The statement also reiterated Syria’s rejection of any aggression against Arab states and their national sovereignty, based on brotherly relations and shared interests among Arab countries.
The condemnation comes amid growing regional concern over recent military developments and their potential impact on security across the Gulf and the wider Middle East.
