Qatar, U.S. discuss Middle East developments and de-escalation efforts

Doha, May 29 (SANA) Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and U.S. President Donald Trump discussed the latest political and security developments in the Middle East during a phone call on Thursday, the Qatar News Agency reported.

The two leaders reviewed regional and international initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and strengthening stability across the region. The Qatari Emir stressed the importance of political and diplomatic solutions and dialogue among all parties to prevent further escalation.

Trump praised Doha’s role in supporting Pakistani mediation efforts and facilitating communication between different parties, commending Qatar’s contribution to regional stability.

The leaders also discussed strategic ties between Qatar and the United States and explored opportunities to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
