Ankara, Feb. 7 (SANA)Türkiye has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Syria’s recovery and reconstruction efforts, Turkish Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said on Saturday.
Speaking at the opening of the 17th Al Jazeera Forum in Doha, Duran emphasized that Syria’s stability and strengthened institutional capacities are central to Türkiye’s approach to post-war recovery, according to Türkiye’s Anadolu Agency.
He noted that wars do not end with ceasefire agreements alone. Lasting stability, he said, requires effective governance, reconstruction frameworks, and political processes. Syria and Gaza, he added, provide clear examples of this reality, and a similar approach should be applied to Yemen and Sudan.
The 17th Al Jazeera Forum opened on Saturday in the Qatari capital under the theme “The Palestinian Cause and Regional Balances in the Context of a Multipolar World,” with participation from decision-makers, experts, and media professionals worldwide.
