Ankara, Feb. 4 (SANA) Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş said Tuesday that respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity remains essential, highlighting Damascus’ steps to integrate Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into state institutions.
According to Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency, Kurtulmuş said in a statement posted on social media that Ankara is closely following steps toward integrating the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into Syria’s state institutions, praising the progress that has been made so far.
He said the political system in Syria which is based on participatory governance and fair representation of all components of Syrian society, is a key factor for regional stability.
Kurtulmuş also said Turkey is ready to support Syria’s reconstruction, institutional strengthening, border security and counterterrorism efforts.
