Cairo, Dec. 27 (SANA) Egypt’s Grand Mufti on Saturday condemned the terrorist bombing that struck a mosque in Homs in central Syria, describing the attack as a major crime and a violation of the sanctity of places of worship.
Nazir Mohamed Ayyad, Egypt’s Grand Mufti and head of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Institutions Worldwide, said in a statement that targeting worshippers inside mosques represents a grave breach of religious and moral principles, as well as a violation of the widely shared commitment to protecting civilian lives and houses of worship.
