Syria congratualtes Turkey on Republic Day, emphasizes deep bilateral ties

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates extended congratulations to the government and people of the Republic of Turkey on the occasion of Republic Day, marking the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic on October 29, 1923.

In an official statement released on Thursday, the Ministry expressed Syria’s warm regards to the Turkish people, describing them as close friends and neighbors bound to Syrians by deep historical, cultural, and humanitarian ties.

The statement also acknowledged Turkey’s solidarity and compassion toward Syrian refugees who sought safety within its borders during years of war.

The ministry reaffirmed the strength and depth of Syrian-Turkish relations, grounded in mutual respect, a shared destiny, and a common vision for regional stability and prosperity.

It praised the spirit of cooperation and understanding that continues to guide bilateral engagement and voiced Syria’s hope for further strengthening the partnership in service of both nations.
