During its weekly session on Tuesday, the Saudi Cabinet appreciated the launch of a number of development projects in the Syrian Arab Republic, stressing the importance of this step in supporting recovery efforts and improving the humanitarian and service conditions of the brotherly Syrian people.
Saudi Minister of Media, Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari, said in a statement to the Saudi News Agency that the Cabinet welcomed the launch of a package of development projects by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) targeting vital sectors, including food security, health, education, shelter and rehabilitation. These projects will contribute to alleviating the suffering of those affected and promoting stability and prosperity in Syria
Al-Dosari added that those initiatives come within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to standing by the Syrian people and providing the necessary support to meet their humanitarian and development needs, based on the fraternal ties and historical relations that unite the two countries.
An official Saudi delegation, headed by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), visited Syria two days ago, upon the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. A series of humanitarian and development programs were launched in several Syrian regions.
