Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani met Wednesday in Damascus with British Member of Parliament and Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Hamish Falconer.
During the meeting, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the Syrian Arab Republic and the United Kingdom were discussed, in addition to discussing regional and international issues of common interest.
In the same context, minister al-Shaibani met with Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, a member of the House of Lords and head of a British business delegation, where ways to strengthen economic relations between the two countries and open new horizons for cooperation in the fields of investment and reconstruction were discussed.
Additionally, the importance of building sustainable strategic partnerships to serve the interests of the Syrian people was also emphasized.
