Beijing, March 13 (SANA) China successfully launched two experimental Earth observation satellites Friday from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province.
The satellites, Shiyan-30 03 and Shiyan-30 04, were carried into orbit by a Long March-2D rocket, according to Xinhua News Agency. Both satellites entered their planned orbit successfully.
Designed for testing and verifying Earth observation technologies, the satellites will support China’s research and development in space-based monitoring.
The launch marked the 632nd mission for the Long March rocket series.
