Warsaw, SANA – A Polish Air Force pilot was killed on Friday when his F-16 fighter jet crashed during a rehearsal for the upcoming 2025 International Aviation Review in Radom, central Poland.
Government spokesman Adam Glabka said in a post on X that the aircraft went down on the runway during training for the weekend event. He confirmed that the crash claimed the life of the pilot.
The Polish Army issued an official statement confirming the accident, noting that no other injuries were reported. An immediate investigation has been launched to determine whether technical failure or human error caused the disaster.
The Radom International Aviation Review, held every two years about 100 kilometers south of Warsaw, is one of Europe’s most prominent airshows, drawing tens of thousands of aviation enthusiasts from around the world.
