Internal Security Forces of Daraa head towards Sweida to protect civilians

Daraa, SANA- Internal Security commander in Daraa Governorate, Brigadier General Shaher Jabr Omran, said that in coordination with Defense and Interior Ministries, units of Daraa Internal Security Forces have begun heading toward Sweida to provide protection for civilians and their property.

“As a part of joint coordination between Daraa and Sweida governorates, and out of a keenness to support national efforts aimed at restoring stability in Sweida city, units of Internal Security of Daraa headed towards Sweida, under the direction of the central command”, Brigadier General Omran said in a statement Tuesday.

Omran went on saying that Daraa and Sweida are one indivisible part of the homeland, shared the common destiny and historical and social ties, stressing that this step comes in response to citizens’ calls to provide protection for them and their property.

He added “We call on all people of Sweida to cooperate with the state forces, as our goal is to enforce the law, protect civilians, restore security, and build a stable and secure future”.
