Tourism Ministry creates initiatives to revive troubled businesses and projects in Syria

Damascus, SANA- The Ministry of Tourism has developed programs to activate and relaunch faltering and suspended tourism projects and establishments, in coordination with investors, to begin implementing them and put them into service according to timelines that are to be submitted to the ministry for approval.

Assistant Minister of Tourism for Development and Investment Affairs, Engineer Ghayath Al-Farrah, articulated in a statement that the Ministry is preparing to rehabilitate all works in tourist facilities by granting them the necessary facilities to put them into investment and securing new facilities with hotel rooms, dining chairs, and new entertainment complexes, including creating job opportunities for Syrian youth in the next stage.

Al-Farah pointed out that the ministry is working on implementing a decision related to establishments damaged due to the practices of the former regime, which allows them to rebuild, equip, and rehabilitate even if they have previously benefited from exemptions, as these damages are caused by force majeure circumstances and not by the will of the investor.
