Ministry of Education, UNICEF discuss developing vocational education in Syria

Damascus, SANA-Deputy Minister of Education Yousef Annan Tuesday discussed with a delegation from the Vocational Education Department at the UNICEF Syria office the latest studies on the state of vocational education in Syria.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Damascus, both sides explored the possibility of updating these studies to reflect the evolving circumstances following the recent liberation phase. The aim is to contribute to

the advancement of vocational education, positioning it as a fundamental pillar in the country’s economic and developmental recovery.

He also stressed the need to rehabilitate damaged vocational schools and to direct support toward strengthening partnerships between vocational education and the private sector. This would ensure an integration of theoretical knowledge with practical skills, keeping pace with global scientific and technological advancements.
