Discussions to enhance performance and efficiency of Syria’s Land and Sea Ports

Damascus, SANA-The Head of the General Authority for Land and Sea ports, Mr. Qutaiba Badawi, and the Head of the Central Authority for Control and Inspection, Eng. Amer al-Ali, explore ways to enhance institutional performance and improve operational efficiency at Syria’s land and sea ports.

During the meeting held at the Crossings Authority headquarters in Damascus—the discussion focused on activating preventive oversight roles at the crossings, strengthening efforts to combat administrative corruption, streamlining procedures, and promoting good governance to ensure high-quality services for beneficiaries.

Discussions to enhance performance and efficiency of Syria’s Land and Sea Ports

Both parties emphasized the need for strict adherence to the laws and regulations governing the work of border crossings and free zones, and the importance of coordination and integration between the two authorities to improve institutional performance, maintain continuous institutional communication, and exchange expertise and feedback within a framework of ongoing evaluation.

Badawi expressed his full readiness to provide all necessary data and facilitation to support the success of control and inspection tasks—an effort that aims to reinforce administrative discipline, transparency, and the principles of optimal use of public resources.
