Return of Syrian Families from Turkey to eastern Deir Ezzor countryside after 14 Years of forced displacement

Deir Ezzor, SANA-A group of Syrian families returned on Monday to al-Mouhasan town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, after 14 years of forced displacement caused by the crimes of the defunct regime.

Twelve families, comprising dozens of individuals including children, have come back to their homes. Several returnees expressed their joy at being reunited with their homeland after years of hardship and exile. They acknowledged the support provided by the Turkish government to Syrian refugees and emphasized that their return was voluntary, driven by a sense of duty toward their nation after its liberation.

Since the fall of the former regime,  Deir Ezzor Governorate—despite limited resources inherited from that period—has been working with full dedication to create a dignified and supportive environment for the return of thousands of displaced families to their towns and cities.

In April, around 40 families from the town of al-Quriyah in the Deir Ezzor, countryside also returned to their homes after residing in Jarabulus camp in  Aleppo countryside.
