Damascus, SANA- On the anniversary of the martyrdom of hero Abdul Baset al-Sarout, Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed al-Saleh, affirmed that al-Sarout’s voice, which echoed with freedom and dignity, will not fade. His chants rose above the sound of bullets to express the will of an entire people.
“We will not forget those who sacrificed their lives so that Syria can be free and honorable,” Minister al-Saleh stated in a post on X.
He also commemorated the martyrs of the Syrian Civil Defense, who saved lives under bombardment and gave their lives to protect civilians.
“From the squares of revolution to the fields of rescue, the martyrs write the true Syrian memory,” he added.
