Information Minister: With closure of Rukban Camp, a tragic chapter made by ousted regime is coming to an end

Damascus, SANA- Information Minister, Dr. Hamza Mustafa, said that by closing Rukban camp, another tragic chapter of the displacement story made by the ousted regime is coming to an end.

“Rukban camp was not just a camp, but it witnessed the cruelty of the siege and starvation, as the former regime abandoned people there to face their painful fate”, Minister Mustafa said in a tweet on X Saturday.

The minister added “With every step towards the return, a great hope emerges from the pain in the hearts of Syrians, along with their determination to build a new Syria with all its spectrum.

He went on saying that the closure of Rukban camp represents a beginning of a new road with a great determination until every displaced person can return home.
