Damascus, SANA-Authorities at Nassib border crossing successfully thwarted a large drug Smuggling attempt shipment, which had been meticulously concealed within a consignment prepared for export to Saudi Arabia.
In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the General Authority for Land and Maritime Border Crossings emphasized that this operation was the result of heightened vigilance and thorough inspections conducted by customs and security teams stationed at the crossing. The effort aligns with ongoing initiatives to combat smuggling, regulate border traffic, and safeguard national security.
The authority further stated that full details will be released once investigations and necessary legal procedures are finalized.
