Information Ministry expresses its deep concern over disappearance of journalist Mohammad Khaiti

Damascus, SANA-The Ministry of Information has announced that it received with great concern the news of the disappearance of fellow journalist Mohammad Khaiti, who has been missing for more than a week.

The ministry indicated that, from the very first moment, it began communicating and investigating with the relevant authorities and made intensive efforts to obtain any information that could lead to his whereabouts.

In a statement on Friday, the ministry expressed its deep concern over this painful incident, stressing that the safety and protection of journalists throughout the Syrian Arab Republic is a top priority in its media policy.

The ministry will spare no effort in pursuing this case until the truth is revealed and ensuring the safe return of Mohammad Khaiti to his family and colleagues.
