A ship carrying 3,200 cars arrives at Tartous Port

Tartous, SANA- A ship loaded with approximately 3,200 cars arrived Monday at Tartous Port, marking a significant milestone as the first of its kind since the fall of the deposed regime.

In statements to journalists, several car dealers explained that the ship, originating from South Korea, is the first since the regime’s collapse to directly deliver European cars to Tartous Port without any obstacles or barriers. They highlighted the government’s facilitation measures aimed at simplifying procedures to enable citizens to acquire vehicles at affordable prices.

The dealers added that this shipment is the first batch, with another expected in ten days. Within a month, two or three more shipments are anticipated. They commended the port administration’s efforts in providing space, labor, and implementing new decisions that reduce time and avoid bureaucratic delays.

On January 19th, a ship carrying 90 new double-cabin pickup trucks also arrived at Tartous Port. This event is seen as a positive indicator of the revival of commercial activity and the return of economic operations to Syrian ports after years of decline.
