Media Office of Homs condemns incidents in Maryamin village

Media Office of Homs condemns incidents in Maryamin village

Homs, SANA -The media office in Homs city announced that the security forces carried out a precise combing campaign in the villages of the western countryside of Homs, targeting outlaw elements. The operation continued for several hours, Later, the forces withdrew after achieving their goals.

“We condemn and denounce the abuse of religious beliefs and sanctities and unacceptable violations that the village of Maryamin witnessed following the withdrawal of the security forces, as a criminal group took advantage of this circumstance to commit violations against the people, impersonating a security force, and we affirm that any violations by individuals or groups will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the applicable laws,” The media office told SANA.

The office added “We affirm our commitment to returning rights to their owners and compensating all those affected for the losses they suffered as a result of those violations. A specialized committee will be formed to follow up on the assessment of damages and compensation according to transparent mechanisms that guarantee the full rights of the people, in coordination with the authorities concerned.
