Quneitra, Dec. 25 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces opened fire on Thursday on a group of civilians near the village of al-Asheh in the southern Quneitra countryside.
SANA’s reporter in Quneitra said the forces targeted civilians while they were gathering mushrooms in the area.
On Wednesday, an Israeli unit assaulted women and children who were collecting mushrooms in the area between the villages of al-Adnaniyah and Ruwaihiniyah in the northern Quneitra countryside, launching smoke bombs at them.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces moved to expand the positions they occupy in Tal al-Ahmar al-Gharbi in the southern Quneitra countryside, where they have been stationed since the fall of the former regime. They erected earthen berms and carried out fortification and reinforcement of existing positions.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, affirming that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect under international law.
