Syria congratulates UAE on National Day, affirms pride in fraternal relations

Damascus, Dec.1 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Republic extended its warmest congratulations and best wishes to the government and people of the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of the 52nd National Day, which comes on December 2.

“Syria avails that cherished national occasion to affirm its pride in the fraternal relations that unite the two countries and their peoples, and its aspiration to strengthen joint cooperation in a way that serves mutual interests and contributes to the prosperity and stability of the region,” Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The people of the United Arab Emirates celebrate their National Day on December 2nd  each year, commemorating the founding of the Union in 1971, when the seven emirates united under one flag led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the nation’s founder.
