Anti-Narcotics units in Lattakia have arrested a man found in possession of more than 140,000 Captagon pills, the Interior Ministry said Friday.
In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the ministry said the Anti-Narcotics Department, working with the Internal Security Command, seized about 140,000 Captagon tablets and 30,000 controlled prescription pills that were intended for illegal sale and distribution.
The suspect has been taken into custody, and the seized drugs have been confiscated pending judicial action, the ministry added.
