President Ahmad al-Sharaa chairs Supreme Development Council meeting

President Ahmad al-Sharaa chaired a meeting of the Supreme Development Council on Monday to review the current state of investments and public service projects.

During the meeting, he discussed with the council members the outcomes of the Future Investment Initiative conference held last week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during the event.

Last week, President al-Sharaa visited Riyadh to participate in the conference, where he met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss ways to enhance bilateral economic and investment cooperation with the Kingdom and international investors.

At the conference, al-Sharaa highlighted Syria’s efforts to attract foreign investments to support reconstruction and development projects, noting that the country has drawn significant investment in recent months. The visit reflects Syria’s broader push to strengthen economic ties with Gulf countries and promote private-sector-led growth.
