Units from the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Damascus countryside seized large quantities of narcotic substances in the Al-Zabadani area, Interior ministry said Sunday.
According to a statement from the ministry on its Telegram channel, the seized materials included 323 blocks of hashish and about 35,000 Captagon pills, which were found hidden inside a grave in the area.
The ministry explained that the operation was based on precise field intelligence, noting that the competent authorities are continuing investigations to identify all individuals involved and to take the necessary legal measures against them.
The statement reaffirmed the state’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and protect society from its dangers.
