Syria, Spain Sign Agreement to Land First Submarine Cable net

Syrian Telecommunications Company and the Spanish company Medusa signed an agreement in Tartous to install the first submarine cable linking Syria to the global telecommunications network.

The agreement signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdul Salam Haykal.

Minister Haykal inspected the submarine cable landing site in the Dream Beach area of Tartous to begin implementing the signed agreement.
